Modern Magnetometers for Ground and UAV Magnetic Surveys: Development, Applications and Case Studies

As part of the GEOMINE 2026 Pre-Conference Workshop Program, GEODEVICE KAZAKSTAN LLP will deliver a specialized workshop on modern magnetometer technologies and their applications in ground and UAV-based magnetic surveys.

The workshop will combine technical presentations, practical case studies, and an instrument demonstration, providing participants with an opportunity to explore current developments in magnetic surveying technologies and their application in real-world geophysical projects.

Workshop Overview

Modern magnetic surveying is increasingly integrating advanced sensor technologies, UAV platforms, digital data acquisition, and improved processing workflows.

During this workshop, participants will learn about:

• Development and production of modern magnetometers for ground and UAV magnetic surveys
• Different magnetic sensor technologies
• Magnetic survey data acquisition workflows
• Examples and case studies from completed surveys
• Approaches to magnetic data processing and interpretation
• Practical applications of magnetic methods in geophysical projects
• Capabilities and operational considerations of modern magnetic survey instruments
• Live demonstration of GEODEVICE instruments and equipment

The workshop will provide an opportunity for geoscience professionals to discuss practical challenges, field applications, equipment capabilities, and survey approaches directly with specialists involved in magnetometer development and application.
