This sub-session addresses the environmental, social, and governance challenges facing Mongolia’s mineral resources sector in a period of rapid expansion, shifting investment environments, and growing international ESG expectations. It is designed as a platform where researchers, investors, mining professionals, government representatives, and civil society can examine how ESG considerations are reshaping policy, planning, stakeholder relationships, and development strategies.
