Session Scope

The Geo Systems & Mineral Science session focuses on the fundamental geological processes that shape the Earth and control the formation, evolution, and distribution of mineral resources. The session provides a platform for advancing scientific understanding of geological systems through multidisciplinary research integrating field observations, laboratory investigations, analytical techniques, and digital geoscience approaches.

The session covers a broad spectrum of geoscience disciplines, including regional geology, tectonics, stratigraphy, paleontology, mineralogy, petrology, metamorphic processes, economic geology, geophysics, and neotectonics. Particular emphasis is placed on understanding geological evolution, mineral system architecture, crustal processes, and resource-forming environments in Mongolia and comparable geological regions worldwide.

Contributions utilizing modern analytical methods, geochronology, geochemistry, geophysical imaging, and integrated geological modeling are especially encouraged. The session welcomes studies that improve understanding of mineral systems and provide scientific foundations for sustainable resource exploration and development.

By fostering collaboration among researchers, academic institutions, and industry professionals, the session aims to strengthen geoscience knowledge, promote innovation in Earth science research, and contribute to the sustainable management of mineral resources.
