Session Scope
This session focuses on the rapidly advancing field of geospatial intelligence and its role in enabling data-driven, integrated, and sustainable Earth system management. With the increasing availability of high-resolution spatial data and advances in computational technologies, geospatial systems have become fundamental to understanding and managing environmental and resource challenges.
The session covers the full geospatial data lifecycle, including acquisition, processing, integration, analysis, modeling, and visualization. It emphasizes the convergence of geodesy, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, and emerging approaches such as Geo-AI, machine learning, and real-time spatial data systems.
Key areas of focus include multi-source geospatial data integration from satellite, UAV, and ground-based sensors; advanced spatial analysis and modeling; and the development of scalable digital infrastructures for big geospatial data. The session also highlights real-time monitoring systems and digital twin technologies that enable dynamic simulation and decision-making.
In addition, the session explores applied geospatial intelligence for addressing critical challenges such as climate change, disaster risk reduction, urban and environmental management, and sustainable resource development. By integrating technological innovation with real-world applications, the session promotes the development of interoperable, scalable, and intelligent geospatial systems.
