D7 — Investment Analysis, Financial Modeling, and Risk Assessment
(Investment decision-making and project finance in mining)

This sub-session focuses on investment evaluation, financial modeling, and risk assessment for mining projects and resource developments. It examines methodologies for supporting investment decisions under uncertainty, including financial forecasting, project financing, portfolio analysis, and risk management.

Topics include discounted cash flow modeling, investment appraisal, market analysis, sensitivity and scenario analysis, project financing structures, and financial risk assessment. Contributions that improve investment decision-making and financial sustainability in the mining sector are encouraged.
