This sub-session focuses on practical applications of geospatial intelligence for addressing environmental, societal, and resource-related challenges. Geospatial technologies play an increasingly important role in supporting sustainable development, disaster resilience, environmental protection, and informed decision-making.
The sub-session welcomes contributions related to climate change monitoring, environmental assessment, disaster risk reduction, resilience planning, and decision-support systems. Studies presenting operational geospatial systems, Digital Earth initiatives, and real-world case studies demonstrating societal and environmental benefits are particularly encouraged.
By integrating geospatial science, technology, and policy applications, this session aims to promote innovative solutions that advance sustainable development and the improved management of natural and human systems.
