Low-Carbon Energy Transition Technologies

Oil, Gas & Energy Systems — Hydrocarbon systems, infrastructure, digitalization, and low-carbon transition.

Sub-session description

Academic Scope

This sub-session focuses on technologies and strategies supporting the transition toward more sustainable, resilient, and low-carbon energy systems. As governments and industries pursue decarbonization goals, innovative solutions are needed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions while maintaining energy security and economic development.
The sub-session welcomes contributions on carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS), methane emissions reduction, environmental management, hydrogen technologies, and other emerging low-carbon energy solutions. Research addressing carbon management, clean energy integration, and sustainable energy infrastructure is particularly encouraged.
Special attention is given to practical applications and regional case studies, including urban energy transition initiatives and the use of LPG as a cleaner household energy source. The session aims to promote knowledge exchange on technologies and policies that support the global transition toward sustainable energy systems.

Carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) Methane emission reduction and environmental management Green and blue hydrogen technologies Carbon capture studies and applications LPG utilization for urban household energy systems (e.g., Ulaanbaatar case)
